Musical Alms

Harmonious strains through my ears fill my heart;

Oh, the euphoric lift from that euphonic art.

Mellifluous melody, a sweet dulcet measure;

My being absorbed in such musical pleasure.

So soothingly, pent up emotions unlock

with Beethoven, Schubert, Hayden, or Bach.

I would give to the poor, needy soul precious alms

of Mozart, Handel, Chopin, and Brahms.
